March 23, 2020
The Governor has announced that the school closure period shall last through Tuesday, 4/7/2020. Therefore, for now, and until further notice, the return-to-school date is Wednesday, 4/8/2020. At this time, it is to be expected that the school closure period may once again be extended. All previously scheduled large gatherings/school activities shall remain canceled with an unlikelihood of rescheduling through May 1st. For those staff who follow member district calendars, please be reminded to frequently visit your district’s or districts’ websites for the latest updates on COVID-19 as it pertains to “return-to-school” dates. Again, at this time, it is to be expected that the school closure period may once again be extended.
Rest assured that all of us are experiencing challenges during these difficult times. Please continue to heed all the recommended safety precautions that have been announced over and over again (e.g., hand-washing, social distancing, etc.).
